The Battle Of Burnmile

Introduction

The Battle of Burnmile is one of the earliest battles of the Cadaver Subwar? during the Second Corpse War?. Burnmile is largely remembered for being not only one of the earliest Cadaver Subwar battles but also one of the earliest deployments of the Hiveneos? against the Grand Coalition?.

Context

Broad

The context to Burnmile largely lies in the same context which led to the escalation into the Cadaver Subwar. Prior to both of these events, many other concurrent subwars were active, one such being the Theos Subwar?, ending with the subjugation of Nicovis? by Nicoraqel?, the death of Tarivinius?, and the effective disintegration of the Second Theos Convergence?. There also existed the Cognia Subwar? which ultimately proved the Temple Cognia? to be wholly ineffective against Nicoraqel, only heightening it's power through the hierarchy switch at the climatic Slaughter of Terrodon?. The Nicora Civil War? had also closed by this point, meaning there was largely no tension within the Nicora Army?'s ranks. These outcomes allowed for the Nicora Army to practically descend upon Serkosia? as an unholy flood of death and destruction. The resulting subwar was the Cadaver Subwar, and one of the first battles just happened to be the Battle of Burnmile.
